3. HBO Max Removing Things From The Internet

The meme

It’s a bleak week for TV: season two of “The White Lotus” has ended, and HBO Max, under CEO David Zaslav’s leadership, announced that it will be canceling and removing a number of shows from its catalog. The shows being removed include “Westworld,” “The Nevers” (which has been canceled halfway through its first season), “Minx” and “Love Life.”

The decisions may make some sense to Zaslav internally, but they make no sense to the general public, which has reacted on Twitter with anger, grief and, of course, memes.

2. Evri Delivery

The meme

Sometimes a parcel you’ve ordered gets delayed or goes missing; it’s frustrating, but it happens. It happens a hell of a lot more often, though, if your courier is Evri (A.K.A, probably the worst delivery service of all time).

Once named Hermes, the company rebranded as Evri earlier this year in what was likely an attempt to escape its horrible reputation — but even with a shiny new logo, the remarkably shoddy service remained. Evri customers have experienced everything from parcels being lobbed at their house from a distance to the driver allegedly pretending to deliver their item, before stealing it. To make matters worse, the company’s customer service consists of an automated chat bot that rarely, if ever, resolves your problem.

Now, with Christmas around the corner, people on Twitter are memeing the horror of discovering that your urgently needed parcel is in the hands of this much-despised courier.

1. ‘The White Lotus’

The meme

Full disclosure: I saw season one when it came out, and then this fall I watched people on Twitter talking about season two as it aired, confident in my ability to catch up at some point. I did not, in fact, catch up as episodes came out, but once the finale hit, I binged all seven episodes in the last two nights. So now I can officially say: woof.
